Sophie Sweeney is based in New York City. She is part of the political team and supports a range of political campaigns.
Before SKDK, Sophie had internships across a variety of industries. She developed skills in strategic communications, policy research and public engagement through these positions. Notably, Sophie conducted policy research at California Water Impact Network, a nonprofit that aims to protect California’s water resources. She has also held community engagement and social media positions at Yelp and a boutique media buying agency, Assemble Partners.
Sophie was born in New York City but grew up mostly in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a graduate of Amherst College with a B.A. in Environmental Studies, and her commitment to environmental advocacy is both a professional focus and a personal passion. Now back in Brooklyn, Sophie looks forward to developing her career at SKDK. She is particularly excited about utilizing impactful communications to drive positive political change across the country.
