Ryan Peters often finds himself at the center of where policy, politics and communications meet. He supports SKDK’s senior leadership in writing pitches, oversees new business development ventures, and manages the firm’s thought leadership and marketing strategy.
A native of upstate New York, Ryan cut his teeth working on policy and communications projects in the Rust Belt. His accomplishments include designing campaigns to combat misinformation during the controversial Muslim Ban and acting as spokesperson to a coalition of resettlement agencies, building the early framework for a new Housing Choice Voucher program (“Mobility Counseling”), and managing a $3M tech refresh project at the height of COVID-19 pandemic. Before SKDK, Ryan worked at a PR and issue advocacy firm in Pennsylvania for Fortune 100 clients, including Coca-Cola, Walmart, and Philadelphia-based Comcast/NBCUniversal.
Ryan is a proud State University of New York (SUNY) graduate and earned a master’s degree in policy research and analysis from the University of Pittsburgh. During his time there, he was a communications fellow and helped stand up the Pittsburgh Network for Threatened Scholars (PiNTS) program. He started as an intern in SKDK’s Albany office during the historic 2019 legislative session.
