Morgan Elizabeth Hopkins joins SKDK after serving in communications roles in state government and political campaigns in Virginia, North Carolina and Georgia.
Most recently, she served as Communications and Digital Director for Geoff Duncan’s gubernatorial campaign in Georgia where she led communications strategy, media relations, and digital engagement. Previously, she served as Press Secretary to North Carolina Governor Josh Stein and on Stein’s successful gubernatorial campaign. In the Governor’s Office, among other roles and duties, she staffed the Governor at events, served as main point of contact for local and national outlets, and served as an intermediary between the office and cabinet agencies. From 2023-2024, Morgan served as Communications Director for the Virginia House Democratic Caucus, overseeing campaign strategy for an 85-candidate slate and managing Caucus communications strategy for the following legislative session.
Prior to these roles, Morgan spent two years at SKDK working with a range of corporate, nonprofit, and advocacy clients. The Chicago native earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Howard University and a Master of Arts in Political Science from American University.
