Molly Salter is a public affairs director in SKDK’s Washington, D.C. office, where she crafts strategic communications campaigns for nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and corporate clients. She specializes in crisis management, message development, and media relations, helping her clients amplify their impact and navigate complex communications challenges.
Over her years at SKDK, Molly has worked on several high-profile public affairs campaigns – from supporting the families of the American hostages in Gaza to representing the defending tribes in the Supreme Court case involving the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA). For those families with loved ones held captive, Molly delivered top-tier media appearances as they advocated for a ceasefire deal. For the tribes defending ICWA, she helped educate the media on complex Indian law issues and rebut misinformation around the case against the law.
Before joining SKDK, Molly was a writer and editor for the International Republican Institute (IRI), a nonpartisan nonprofit that advances freedom and democracy worldwide. She also served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Cambodia, teaching English and facilitating community development projects.
A Virginia native, Molly holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and English from the College of Charleston.
