Adam Hodge Joins SKDKnickerbocker

Former Treasury Spokesman and DNC Communications Director Joins Top Public Affairs firm as Vice President

WASHINGTON —Today, SKDKnickerbocker (SKDK) announced that former Treasury Department spokesman and Democratic National Committee (DNC) Communications Director Adam Hodge has joined the Washington-based public affairs team as a vice president to support the firm’s advocacy, corporate and crisis communications clients.

Adam joined SKDK from the Democratic National Committee where he was the communications director under interim Chair Donna Brazile. Before that, he served as a deputy assistant secretary for public affairs at the Treasury Department where he received the Distinguished Service Award. At Treasury, Adam led strategic communications efforts for domestic finance issues, focusing on regulation of financial markets, Treasury’s investment portfolio and real estate finance reform. He also directed the media strategy for several high profile legal challenges and Congressional investigations.

Before working at the Treasury Department, Adam was a Regional Press Secretary at the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and served as the Press Secretary for House Majority Whip James Clyburn and the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. He also worked for former Senator Chris Dodd.

Adam hails from St. Croix, U.S.V.I., and is a graduate of Wesleyan University where he captained the golf team. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife, Cara, and son, Owen.
