Kevin Gerson brings valuable experience from Capitol Hill and campaigns to his work at SKDK, where he helps advocacy organizations, nonprofits, litigation teams, Fortune 500 companies, and institutions of higher learning drive the national discourse, navigate news cycles, and confidently manage crises.
At SKDK, Kevin has provided strategic communications support to the nation’s top law firms in high-profile cases: frequently briefing journalists on complex legal developments, holding bad actors accountable, and giving a voice to human trafficking survivors. He regularly helps elected officials, nonprofit leaders, and CEOs refine their messaging and tell compelling stories that move their audiences to action. Kevin has crafted opinion pieces published in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, USA Today, and many more.
Kevin also helped GIFFORDS boost its public profile, showcase what makes the organization unique within the gun violence prevention movement, and build relationships with key reporters across the country. Additionally, he co-led the 2024 Democratic National Convention Committee’s innovative surrogate booking operation, which secured and facilitated over 1,500 interviews during convention week — the most in DNCC history.
Before joining SKDK, Kevin served as communications director for Congresswoman Dina Titus and as press secretary and digital director for Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. On Capitol Hill and the campaign trail, he advised those principals on political strategy, prepared them for interviews on national television, and served as a spokesperson. Kevin is a veteran of numerous other political campaigns, including Hillary for America in 2016, where he wrote speeches for elected officials, activists, and celebrities.
Born and raised in Miami, Kevin earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in political science from the University of Florida.
