Carla Coley

Carla Coley is a seasoned strategist and communications leader with over a decade of experience shaping high-profile public affairs initiatives. As a Vice President in SKDK’s public affairs practice, she counsels leading business, philanthropic, and nonprofit clients on crafting effective narratives and mitigating risk.

Carla’s portfolio as a strategy expert includes designing risk assessment frameworks to map political risk for intergovernmental organizations; developing narrative change campaigns to shift public opinion at both the local and national level; leading crisis management and reputation recovery efforts for multinational corporations; and orchestrating seamless C-Suite transitions for Fortune 100 companies.

Prior to joining SKDK, Carla was an Engagement Manager at Dalberg Advisors, a global consulting firm specializing in social impact, where she led innovative solutions to solve pressing global challenges. A UK native, Carla grew up between England and Puerto Rico and started her career in Washington, D.C. She has served as a Congressional Aide to Congressman José E. Serrano from New York and as Deputy Chief of Staff to the British Ambassador to the United States.

She holds a BA from Brown University, a dual MA/MSc from Columbia University and The London School of Economics & Political Science, and speaks Spanish, French, and Italian.
