Washington, DC – Today, SKDK announced that Mark DeVito has joined the firm as Managing Director and Head of Brand Strategy. With more than two decades of experience, DeVito will lead SKDK’s brand strategy efforts, working closely with the firm’s philanthropic, nonprofit, political, and corporate clients to elevate their brand positioning and drive impactful campaigns.

“Mark is a rare talent who has a real gift for helping brands connect with their audiences in meaningful ways,” said CEO Doug Thornell. “We’re excited to have him on board. His experience working with both big-name brands and important nonprofits will be a huge asset as we continue to grow and expand our capabilities.”

DeVito most recently served as Chief Strategy Officer at a leading creative and marketing agency, where he led brand development and content strategy for FEMA, the U.S. Department of State, Sentara Healthcare, Summit Ridge Energy, USAging, 988 & Vibrant Emotional Health, and the U.S. Mint, among others. He has built and led creative teams at multiple firms, including his own consumer social responsibility-focused creative firm, helping launch major initiatives for Fortune 500 companies, foundations, associations, and public institutions.

“I’m truly excited to be joining SKDK because it’s a place where creativity and purpose come together in a powerful way,” said DeVito. “I’ve always believed that the best brand strategies are rooted in authenticity, emotional interconnectivity, and mission, and I’m looking forward to bringing that approach to the team. Working alongside this talented group to help companies, causes, and campaigns, not just tell their stories, but make a real impact with the people who matter most to them was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.”

A three-time Emmy Award winner, DeVito’s work has been featured on PBS, National Geographic, and Discovery.
