Former Head of Federal Affairs at Uber, CR Wooters, Joins SKDK as Principal and Corporate Affairs Strategist; Brings 25 Years of Experience 

Washington, DC — SKDK today announced that CR Wooters, a widely respected corporate strategist, will join as a Principal in the public affairs practice in  Washington, D.C. A dynamic leader with more than two decades of experience at the intersection of tech, policy, communications and government, Wooters brings a proven record of navigating complex issues and driving strategic initiatives for some of the world’s most influential companies.

Wooters joins SKDK following four years at Uber, where he served as Senior Director and Head of Federal Affairs, leading the company’s engagement with the White House, Congress, and all federal agencies. In that role, he directed all executive engagement in Washington, oversaw Uber’s federal team through major corporate milestones, spearheaded the first-of-its-kind national corporate reputation campaign and led a partnership with the White House to provide free rides nationwide for COVID-19 vaccinations during the pandemic.

Before joining Uber, Wooters co-founded a boutique public affairs consultancy advising Fortune 500 companies on strategy, crisis management, policy and coalition building. He previously served as a principal at Mehlman Consulting, where he counseled some of the country’s largest companies and trade associations, including Cloudflare, HP, and the Business Roundtable, on navigating complex legislative and regulatory challenges. Wooters also served as Deputy Director of the Technology CEO Council, advising CEOs from Dell, IBM, Qualcomm, Oracle and others on issues including cybersecurity, privacy, and global trade.

Earlier in his career, he worked at a public affairs firm where he was embedded within a Fortune 100 company and tasked with centralizing and modernizing its global communications apparatus. He began his career in politics, working on two Presidential campaigns and serving on Capitol Hill as Chief of Staff to two Members of Congress, including running a House leadership office.
