Sydney Gold

Sydney is an associate on SKDK’s Executive Communications team where she works with corporate, non-profit, and advocacy clients on communications strategy. A passionate writer and storyteller, Sydney brings her love of language to help elected officials, non-profit leaders, and activists refine their message, define their voice, and reach audiences across the country.

Before SKDK, Sydney was an editorial intern at POLITICO Magazine covering topics ranging from the war in Ukraine to post-Dobbs abortion activism. Prior to that, she served as a Carnegie-Knight News21 Fellow at The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and an ASME intern at Ad Age magazine. She has been recognized nationally for her reporting, including her story and radio series “Our Poisoned Kids,” which focused on Syracuse’s childhood lead poisoning crisis and earned numerous awards including the Hearst Journalism Awards, the Association of Healthcare Journalists Student Contest, and the National Association of Black Journalists Salute to Excellence Awards.

Sydney earned her bachelor’s from Syracuse University, earning degrees in Political Science and Magazine, News, and Digital Journalism. She is originally from New Orleans, LA.
