Lizzie is a seasoned communications professional with a passion for creating meaningful change through civic engagement, advocacy, and strategic media campaigns. She excels at crafting result-driven messaging and events to shape powerful narratives that drive winning campaigns and elevate online discourse.
Before joining SKDK, Lizzie played a pivotal role in securing Democratic victories across North Carolina during the 2024 election cycle, including key wins for the governor, attorney general, lieutenant governor, and superintendent in this critical battleground state. Passionate about combining her love of politics with entertainment, Lizzie orchestrated large-scale bus tours, concerts, and rallies, drawing over 10,000 attendees and bringing together music, media, and political figures to energize and engage voters.
Prior to her campaign work, Lizzie served for five years on Capitol Hill as Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s press secretary and New York City communications director. During her tenure, she helped advance landmark policy initiatives, including the passage of the senator’s federal ban on gun trafficking, the burn pits bill providing veterans with critical health care benefits, and comprehensive military sexual assault reform. Lizzie also contributed to the successful passage of the senator’s forced arbitration bill, a transformative workplace reform that ended mandatory arbitration for cases of sexual assault and harassment.
One of Lizzie’s proudest achievements is her work on the push to certify the Equal Rights Amendment and the introduction of the FABRIC Act, a groundbreaking labor bill that would enhance the rights and working conditions of nearly 100,000 American garment workers.
Lizzie began her political career advising a diverse array of clients, including the DCCC, PPFA, and End Citizens United, during the 2018 election cycle.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in law and public policy from Indiana University Bloomington.
