Dana Gallagher

Dana Gallagher is a Director of Public Affairs with experience in the Biden-Harris Administration, Congress, and state government. Most recently, she served as an Assistant Press Secretary at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security – an on-the-record spokesperson communicating on issues including online child exploitation, drones, immigration, and AI. 

Prior to joining the Biden-Harris Administration, Dana served as Press Secretary and Digital Director for the House Armed Services Committee Democrats, helping to manage day-to-day press operations while implementing long-term communications strategies. Dana also worked as the Communications Director for a New York State Assembly Member and began her career as an intern out of SKDK’s New York City office.

Born and raised in New York City, Dana graduated from Connecticut College with a degree in American Studies.
