Carla Coley

Carla M. Coley brings over a decade of experience working in strategy, policy, politics, and communications to SKDK’s public affairs practice in New York.

As a strategy expert, she brings a breadth of experience working with clients to craft effective and impactful stories. Prior to joining SKDK, Carla worked as an engagement manager at Dalberg Advisors, a management consulting firm specializing in social impact, where she led innovative and practical solutions to solve complex global problems.

Her work has included leveraging public sector resources to mobilize private capital and further social impact initiatives; spearheading crisis and reputation management plans for Fortune 500 companies; designing narrative change campaigns to help shift public opinion at the local and national levels; leading C-Suite transitions at Fortune 100 companies; and executing sophisticated public affairs and media campaigns.  

A UK native, Carla grew up between England and Puerto Rico and started her career in Washington, D.C. She has served as a Congressional Aide to Congressman José E. Serrano from New York and as Deputy Chief of Staff to the British Ambassador to the United States. She holds a BA from Brown University, a dual MA/MSc from Columbia University and The London School of Economics & Political Science, and speaks Spanish, French, and Italian.
