In addition to overseeing the New York offices, Loren serves as the lead strategist and crisis manager for clients dealing with prominent and complex public issues, ranging from healthcare mergers and budget debates to policy disputes and issue advocacy to full crisis events such as pandemic response, leadership transitions, government and regulatory investigations, and activist investor campaigns, to name a few.
Throughout his career, Loren has delivered compelling strategic and innovative public relations campaigns for clients facing crises and regulatory and public interest challenges. He was named to the 2024 City and State Who’s Who In Communications, a 2024 Power Player in Health Care by Politics NY/AMNY, and Crain’s New York Notable Leaders in Advertising, Marketing, and PR in 2022, among others. Beyond his crisis and corporate experience, Loren is a go-to healthcare communications expert, having led communications strategy and response for some of the most important and challenging healthcare debates over the past decade. Loren has crafted clear and compelling public and internal strategies and messaging for healthcare clients to communicate complex issues such as insurance reimbursements and labor disputes and advocating for an increase in Medicaid reimbursement rates for hospitals.
Loren has also led major campaigns for often contentious public issues that include the closing of Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital and internal and external crisis communications for one of the largest health systems in New York in the earliest months of the COVID-19 pandemic. Loren also conceived of and launched the viral announcement of a $1 billion donation to the Montefiore Albert Einstein College of Medicine, making it tuition-free in perpetuity, a campaign recognized with Honorable Mention in the Best in Media Relations category for PRWeek’s Healthcare Awards, 2025.
