She prides herself in her people-first approach.

Before joining SKDK, Wilsar worked on Capitol Hill for over a decade, most recently as the director of digital strategy at the Congressional Black Caucus, for Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), and the House Judiciary Committee. Her duties often placed her in the path of history, such as helming the communications strategies during Justice Kavanaugh’s Senate Confirmation hearing and the historic (first) impeachment inquiry against then-President Donald Trump. She’s built and organized digital communications programs from the ground up for congressional offices, nonprofit organizations, and corporate leaders.

Wilsar builds her teams with empathy and insight, fostering a culture that rewards creativity, structure, and merit. She’s passionate about investing in people as individuals, providing a path for professional—and artistic—development.

Wilsar is from Freetown, Sierra Leone (recipient of the Diversity Visa Lottery Program) and was raised in Camden, New Jersey. She is a graduate of Georgian Court University, where she studied sociology and biology.
