Will Brunelle is vice president of the Albany office of SKDK, where he helps develop and drive public affairs strategy, crisis communications and legislative campaigns for the firm’s political, corporate and nonprofit clients.
Since joining the firm, Will has helped the firm’s clients pass groundbreaking legislation in New York, including hard-fought campaigns to pass the $15 minimum wage, the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, and the Green Light NY Bill – once again allowing undocumented New Yorkers critical access to driver’s licenses.
He has also helped many of the firm’s energy and healthcare clients navigate through both major public announcements and internal and external crises, including the announcement of the nation’s largest offshore wind development.
Previously, Will worked at POLITICO New York and City & State NY as a political reporter, covering economic development, technology and the Legislature. An upstate New York native, he graduated from the University at Albany with degrees in both English and journalism.
