Sean specializes in managing high-profile earned media campaigns and navigating reputational crises for businesses, advocacy organizations, and individuals. At SKDK, his work has ranged from advising technology companies and financial investors on external affairs to supporting the campaign to confirm Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and the movement to protect voting rights.
He joined SKDK from the Biden Administration where he served in the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Office of Public Affairs. At Commerce, Sean supported the Administration’s implementation of the American Rescue Plan and oversaw communications efforts for the Department’s thirteen bureaus.
Sean cut his teeth in political campaigns, beginning with Secretary Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign in his home state of Ohio. He went on to help topple former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker in 2018, serve as Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s Iowa Press Secretary in his historic run for president, and work for Montana Governor Steve Bullock as his primary spokesman for his high-profile Senate campaign.
Sean is a native of Cleveland, a graduate of Brown University, and a pretty good ping pong player. He now lives happily in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Washington, D.C.
