Marcus W. Robinson

Marcus brings years of experience in Congress, campaigns, lobbying and issue advocacy to his projects at SKDK. He advises a diverse array of clients, including international organizations, tech companies, and judicial reform organizations.

Most recently, Marcus was the Democratic press secretary for the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee under Chairman Tom Carper (D-Del.), where his work mainly focused on driving the narrative about the Biden administration’s implementation of the historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act. Before his service in the Senate, Marcus served as press secretary for then-House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY). During his tenure, he helped lead the Chairman’s communications efforts surrounding landmark Judiciary bills like the Respect for Marriage Act and the Speak Out Act. In the 2022 election cycle, Marcus worked across multiple races in Southern California and Colorado as a communications advisor with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Marcus grew up between Washington, D.C. and the Bronx and currently lives in Capitol Hill with his dog, Willow. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies and Middle East studies from Dickinson College. Marcus also serves on the Executive Board for Black Men on the Hill, a professional network dedicated to uplifting Black men who work in Congress.
