Jessica Floyd

Jessica Floyd is a member of the New York City Public Affairs team, working on a variety of SKDK’s corporate, nonprofit and philanthropic accounts. She has vast legislative, advocacy and media experience, which she gained during her time with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, AARP, MSNBC, NBC News, WNPR, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Bloomberg and theGrio.As a former producer and reporter, Jessica offers extensive insights of how the media works and the ever-changing landscape of journalism. While at theGrio, she was an inaugural member of the digital outlet’s White House team and contributed to securing a coveted press briefing room seat for the publication. Additionally, Jessica’s expertise in multimedia writing provides clients with the ability to appeal to media organizations across platforms, including print, digital, radio and television.

Prior to joining the firm, Jessica earned a master’s degree in Journalism from Northwestern University with a concentration in Politics and National Security. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Politics and Government from the University of Hartford.
