Asha is deeply committed to political strategy and community building. She is an experienced digital communications strategist who specializes in creating and leading innovative digital media campaigns both organically and through paid media. At SKDK, Asha worked with her colleagues to write an award-winning ad that helped turn out Black voters in the DSCC IE’s reelection of Senator Raphael Warnock. Additionally, Asha led and designed the NAACP’s digital paid media campaign to help turn out Black voters in Wisconsin for the Supreme Court election earlier this year.
Asha, a New Jersey native, was exposed to political community engagement at a very young age. She has followed in her grandmother’s footsteps using political action to help better communities and eradicate marginalized systems in places like her hometown of Trenton, NJ.
Before working at SKDK, Asha was a digital strategist in both the U.S. House and Senate as well as at Civil Rights Corps, a non-profit organization fighting to end the cash bail system. Her work focused on reaching and engaging Black audiences. Asha is a Delaware State University alumna where she studied Public Relations and Political Science. She is proud to be an HBCU graduate.
