Akriti Bhambi

Akriti Bhambi brings expertise in government, campaigns, and strategic issue-based advocacy to a range of SKDK’s clients. Prior to joining SKDK, Akriti served as the inaugural Director of Health Equity for the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association (MHA), where she advocated on behalf of the public policy and funding needs of nearly one-hundred hospitals and health systems across the state. In her time at MHA, Akriti contributed to the negotiation and development of a nationally acclaimed state Medicaid program in Massachusetts. Before working on behalf of the hospital community, Akriti served as Chief of Staff to Massachusetts State Representative Marjorie Decker, where she helped lead numerous successful advocacy campaigns, which led to the passage of flagship gun safety and economic justice laws. Akriti also successfully ran and served as the first Asian-American woman on the Cambridge, Massachusetts School Committee.

Akriti was raised in California’s Central Valley and received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis and her Master’s degree in Education Policy at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
