Alyssa is a communications professional with experience in public affairs and digital media as well as a passion for fighting for ambitious progressive movements.
Prior to joining SKDK, Alyssa worked on Capitol Hill where she served as Digital Director and Deputy Press Secretary for Delaware Senator Tom Carper. Before her work in the U.S. Senate, Alyssa managed on-the-ground field operatives in more than 25 states around the country, intertwining paid and earned media efforts with grassroots political advocacy for DDC Public Affairs. Alyssa has worked on numerous campaigns including President-elect Joe Biden’s primary campaign, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential run, and Senator Corey Booker’s 2013 run for the U.S. Senate.

Mina Radman is a skilled communications and media relations practitioner with experience in public health, university and corporate environments.
As a Director within the DC public affairs team, Mina works on communications strategies for the firm’s wide range of nonprofit, advocacy, foundation and corporate clients.
Mina joined SKDK from the Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University, where she played an integral role in the school’s communications strategies, led public relations efforts for its academic research, and managed media relations for its public health experts, including managing inquiries related to all facets of the COVID-19 pandemic.
She previously was the Communications Manager at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, supporting the organization’s communications strategies and advocacy campaigns on the local, state, federal and international levels, and an internal communications intern at the Walt Disney World Resort, supporting business initiatives.
A Florida native, Mina received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida and her master’s degree in strategic public relations from the George Washington University.Comments Off on Mina Radman
A strong communicator, Dakar joined SKDK Public Affairs practice after working directly with fortune 500 clients on project management in the Telecommunications and TV/entertainment industries at the intersection of public affairs and public policy with a focus on the Latino community.
Dakar has helped corporate, non-profit and government entities communicate with and navigate the complexities of the Latino community. Most recently, Dakar consulted on the Maria! Show on El Rey Network and served as Communications Director for U.S. Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell.

Madeline Groves is a member of SKDK’s digital branch, where she leverages her advertising and marketing expertise to deliver impactful, data-driven campaigns.
Prior to SKDK, Madeline managed a variety of digital programs in both the political and technology sectors. She has built and executed programs that cater to voter persuasion and mobilization, plus list acquisition and fundraising for candidates and organizations at the state and national levels.
A Massachusetts native, Madeline is a graduate of Dickinson College where she studied Spanish and Political Science.Leave a comment
Jennifer brings expertise in government, communications and digital media to SKDK’s corporate, advocacy and nonprofit clients.
Prior to joining the public affairs team, Jennifer served as Press Secretary and Digital Director for Rep. Xochitl Torres Small (NM-02) and in the communications office of Rep. John Garamendi (CA-03).
Jennifer has extensive experience leading digital strategy on state and national issues, managing media relations, and preparing principals for interviews on national television.
A San Francisco native, Jennifer graduated from the University of California, Davis with degrees in political science and communications.Leave a comment
John is a director in SKDK’s New York City public affairs team, where he works on a variety of the firm’s advocacy, corporate and nonprofit clients.
He originally joined SKDK as a public affairs intern, assisting various campaigns, projects and teams. Prior to joining SKDK, John worked for a marketing agency focused on direct and digital marketing campaigns for multiple advocacy, political and nonprofit organizations. He also interned with The Nature Conservancy and was part of Kamala Harris’ 2016 Senate campaign.
John is a Los Angeles native who graduated from American University in D.C. with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Marketing.Leave a comment
Matt is on SKDK’s political team, where he focuses on political, non-profit and for-profit advertising campaigns. Prior to joining SKDK, Matt worked on Representative Conor Lamb’s congressional campaign in field organization. He has also interned in both government and public affairs, from which he gained experience in issue advocacy, outreach and coalition building.
A Pittsburgh, PA native, Matt graduated from the University of Pennsylvania where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political communication.Leave a comment
With a background in journalism and client publicity, Rachael Shackelford offers a great deal of understanding of how media works from all angles.
She is a former CNN producer and Emmy award-winning journalist who spent a decade at the international news agency covering and producing the biggest news of a generation.
While at CNN she helped to produce top political and media shows on the global network, including Reliable Sources, State of the Union and The Situation Room. She was part of the network’s control room team that covered Supreme Court decisions, State of the Union addresses and presidential elections, and was a weekend White House producer where she covered the Obama administration. She also helped prep some of the network’s most famous faces for interviews with national newsmakers.
Prior to joining SKDK, Rachael was a publicist at a public relations firm in Washington where she developed client-focused broadcast media strategies for non-profits, Fortune 100 companies, federal government agencies and political organizations.
Rachael has an undergraduate degree in journalism from Florida A&M University and a graduate degree in international affairs from the Georgia Institute of Technology.Leave a comment Newer posts →
