Katia Lockwood-Shabat

Katia is a public affairs associate in SKDK’s Washington, D.C. office where she works with a variety of nonprofit, advocacy, and corporate clients.

Katia joined SKDK full time after participating in the firm’s internship program. Prior to joining SKDK, Katia interned on John Hickenlooper’s Senate campaign, and volunteered with several voter research initiatives leading up to the 2020 Presidential Election.

Originally from northern Virginia, Katia graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Psychology.

Sadia Khan

Sadia is an Associate in Washington D.C. She brings her experience in digital advocacy, content creation, and graphic design skills to the digital team.

Prior to joining SKDK, Sadia worked as a digital organizer for the Virginia Democratic Party, the Florida Democratic Party, and as a communications and finance director on campaigns at the local and state level in Texas.Sadia was born and raised in Houston and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston with bachelor’s degrees in Communications and Political Science.

Gabriel Montoya

Gabriel brings his experience in digital advocacy and data analytics to SKDK’s digital branch, where he provides support across the team and SKDK’s clients.

Prior to joining SKDK, Gabriel worked as a digital organizer with the Biden For President campaign in Iowa. Gabriel has also worked supporting coalition efforts surrounding SMS messaging through organizing outreach efforts.

Gabriel is a native of Miami, Florida, where he graduated from Florida International University with a degree in International Relations and a minor in Political Science.

Christian Rodriguez Hernandez

Christian is a member of the public affairs team in Washington DC, where he works with a variety of SKDK’s corporate, nonprofit, and advocacy clients.

Christian originally joined SKDK as a public affairs intern, where he worked with clients in political advocacy, tech and education. Prior to joining SKDK, Christian worked as an analyst for a healthcare consulting firm and volunteered with immigrant rights advocacy groups.

A Queens native, Christian graduated from DePauw University as a New York Posse Scholar with a degree in Sociology.

Jocelynne Simbana

Jocelynne brings expertise in media relations, multicultural outreach, and strategic communications to the public affairs team. Prior to joining SKDK, Jocelynne worked at a broadcast relations firm focusing on a variety of political, government and advocacy clients. She also worked as an organizer at Wind of The Spirit, Immigrant Resource Center and interned at The National Cherry Blossom Festival.

A New Jersey native, Jocelynne attended The George Washington University where she graduated with a degree in Political Communication.

Lauren Treanor

Lauren is a member of SKDK’s digital practice, where she brings her experience in advocacy, fundraising, and political communications to clients’ paid media and email campaigns.

Lauren originally joined SKDK as a political intern, assisting on various advertising and digital fundraising projects. Before joining the team, she worked on online engagement and fundraising efforts for a grassroots campaign during the 2018 midterms. Lauren also interned for U.S. Congresswoman Kathleen Rice (NY-4) and led fundraising operations for an organization promoting women’s professional development in the field of international relations.

A native of Long Island, Lauren graduated from George Washington University, where she studied Political Science and International Affairs.

Molly Hawkins

Molly brings her experience in digital strategy, advocacy, and politics to SKDK’s nonprofit, political, and corporate clients.

Before joining the team at SKDK, she developed paid media and campaign projects as a Digital Organizing and Policy Associate with Leadership Matters MN. Previously, she interned for U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar and Dan Feehan’s campaign for U.S. Congress. During undergrad, she pursued two years of intensive Arabic language studies on campus and in the country of Morocco. In addition, she led her campus’ She’s the First chapter, a nonprofit organization that uses a rights-based approach to educate and empower girls globally.

Born and raised in Minnesota, Molly graduated with distinction from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with degrees in political science and history.

Lillie Lyon

As a member of SKDK’s Executive Communications team, Lillie writes for, media trains, and advises leaders of advocacy organizations and companies.

Her work has included writing speeches for national labor leaders, crafting op-eds about economic inequality, developing messaging for start-ups working to transform medical care and the supply chain, and media training public figures advocating for campaign finance reform and gender and racial justice.

Prior to joining SKDK, Lillie was a corporate communications consultant, creating and executing communications strategies to support organizations through profile-raising campaigns, crises, litigation, mergers & acquisitions, and IPOs.

Lillie holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Philosophy, Policy, and Law from the University of Virginia. She was born and raised in Lakeville, Minnesota.

Maria Landron

Maria is a member of the public affairs team in New York City, where she works with a variety of SKDK’s corporate, nonprofit, and advocacy clients.

In her previous role, she successfully implemented the census campaign for The Village of Royal Palm Beach; securing the #1 census response in Palm Beach County. Her other public relations experiences include: The Moore Agency, The National Immigration Forum, Borderless PR LLC, and The Alzheimer’s Association.

She graduated cum laude from Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she was recognized as the Outstanding Graduate for the School of Communication and Media. Her other awards include the Palm Beach Atlantic Women of Distinction Award and Circle K International’s Outstanding Board of Trustees Member.

Maria was raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, and is originally from the Dominican Republic.

Anna Elsasser

Anna is a public affairs associate in SKDK’s Washington, D.C. office, where she works with a variety of nonprofit, advocacy, and corporate clients. She is an effective communicator with a passion for crafting messages that advocate for equity and policy change. She has experience working on campaigns and on Capitol Hill, managing media relations and producing communications deliverables surrounding pro-choice politics and COVID-19 relief, health care, and affordable housing legislation.

Prior to joining SKDK, Anna worked on the press team for the Office of U.S. Senator Gillibrand and for EMILY’s List, a political action committee that supports campaigns to elect pro-choice, democratic women.

A North Carolina native, Anna graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations and Sociology.
