Experienced Digital Director to Enhance SKDK Capabilities

Washington, DC –  SKDK, a nationally recognized public affairs and political consulting firm, announced that Avika Dua will join the team as a Vice President. In this role, Avika will bring her extensive experience as a digital strategist for the firm’s political campaigns and corporate work to deepen its digital capabilities.

Dua comes to SKDK with a track record of building and managing large-scale digital campaigns. Before SKDK, she served as the Digital Director for New York’s first woman Governor, Kathy Hochul, and for California’s first Latino U.S. Senator, Alex Padilla. In 2020, Avika managed over $21 million in media spending for Pete for America’s campaign and later drove Priorities USA’s groundbreaking program to drive vote-by-mail voter turnout among communities of color.

“Avika’s recent experience as Digital Director for high-profile campaigns and organizations will be extremely valuable to our clients and the firm as we continue to offer the most integrated advertising services in the industry. We’re thrilled to have her,” said Pia Carusone, President of SKDK Political.

A Harvard graduate, Dua brings a holistic understanding of digital communications. Her passion and commitment to driving social change began during her early career at Google, where she led web marketing efforts for initiatives to expand access to digital training and tools.

“I am beyond thrilled to be joining SKDK and a team of talented digital strategists I’ve long admired,” said Dua. “I’m honored and excited to bring my expertise to help lead innovative and authentic digital campaigns that build bridges to reach their intended audience wherever they may be.”

Dua will report to Executive Vice President and Head of Paid Digital, Maxwell Nunes.
