Paradigm for Parity

Women are outrageously underrepresented in corporate leadership in America and around the world. To combat this issue, a group of women joined together to launch Paradigm for Parity (P4P) — a coalition of business leaders dedicated to accelerating the pace of gender equity in senior executive roles and on corporate boards. To achieve this, the coalition created the Paradigm for Parity 5-Point Action Plan for companies to sign but in order to sign more companies they needed to raise their profile.

SKDK was tapped to manage all communications activities for the coalition, including the launch in December 2016. Our team developed a strategic communications plan for the initial launch of the group and a long-term strategy to bring awareness to the initiative and leadership. From booking TV appearances and garnering stories, to managing the creation of the website, to developing prep materials, SKDK is working side by side with the co-chairs and membership to position the Paradigm for Parity 5-point action plan as the solution for the deficit of women in corporate leadership positions. On the digital front, SKDK manages the organizations’ twitter, LinkedIn, website and Facebook, ensuring the group is weighing in on important news and staying relevant in the current media landscape.

The Paradigm for Parity coalition was unveiled with a Wall Street Journal piece and numerous additional stories were generated. Since the launch, SKDK has executed the media strategy with the goals of bringing attention to the group and helping build signatories. In fact, the group launched with 27 committed companies and during the 9 months working the project that number has more than doubled to 56.
