Saba Samy

Saba Samy is a graduate of Georgetown University’s Master of Arts in American Government program. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s in Law, History, and Culture and a minor in Psychology. Saba’s studies at Georgetown allowed her to explore her academic interests in the workings of government and the topics of judicial politics and national security policy. Her experience in the program continued to nurture her ambition to work in government – her practicum placement in the National Archives intersected and rounded out her educational background and previous experiences with the insight that work in an agency provides. Additionally, the practicum provided crucial support for Saba’s capstone project on the declassification of national security information.

Saba enjoys film photography in her free time, which has been a hobby since the pandemic. While just a beginner, she’s worked on learning the intricacies of the skill and has even dedicated a social media page to her photographs.
